Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and EnginPath ("EnginPath", "we", "us", "our") governing your use of enginpath.com and any related services (together, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. What EnginPath provides

EnginPath is an educational and informational career-guidance platform for engineering students and early-career engineers. We provide:

• information on engineering career roles across multiple engineering branches;
• learning roadmaps, project ideas and step-by-step project build guides;
• indicative salary ranges, demand indicators, skills, tools and learning resources;
• sample resume templates;
• lists of companies that typically hire for a role, with links to their careers pages;
• the ability to discover mentors and book 1:1 mentoring sessions with them.

Most of the Platform is free to use and does not require an account.

3. Nature of our content — please read carefully

• Salary figures are indicative only. They are broad estimates compiled from public sources and vary widely with location, company, experience, skills and market conditions. They are not offers, guarantees or benchmarks.
• Demand indicators are opinions, not predictions of the job market.
• Company lists do not imply any relationship. Naming a company means only that it is known to hire for that type of role. It does not mean the company endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with EnginPath, nor that it currently has vacancies.
• Project guides and design content are educational. Where our guides touch on electrical, mechanical, chemical or laboratory work, you are responsible for working safely, following the relevant standards and regulations, and obtaining qualified supervision where required. Equations and design values are illustrative starting points and must be verified independently before being used in any real design.
• We do not guarantee employment. Using EnginPath, following a roadmap, building a project or booking a mentor does not guarantee a job, internship, interview, admission or any particular outcome.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. To book a paid mentoring session or to apply as a mentor, you must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract.

5. Mentorship and session bookings

• Mentors listed on EnginPath are independent individuals, not our employees, agents or partners. They provide guidance in their personal capacity and not on behalf of their employers.
• Session bookings and payments are currently handled on third-party booking platforms operated by the mentor or by the platform provider. Those platforms' own terms and refund policies apply to your booking.
• We review mentors before listing them, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of their stated experience, the quality or suitability of any advice given, or any specific outcome from a session.
• Guidance given in a session is the mentor's personal opinion. You remain responsible for your own decisions.
• Sessions must not be used to obtain confidential or proprietary information belonging to a mentor's employer, to solicit recruitment favours, or for any unlawful purpose.
• Please be punctual and respectful. Harassment, abuse or discrimination toward a mentor or student will result in removal from the Platform.

6. Becoming a mentor

• Applications are submitted through our application form and are reviewed at our discretion. We may accept or decline any application without providing reasons.
• You confirm that the information you provide is true, accurate and your own, and that you have the right to share it.
• By applying, you consent to us publishing the professional details you submit (such as your name, role, company, domain, bio, photo and booking link) on the Platform, and you can ask us to remove your profile at any time by emailing us.
• You are responsible for ensuring that mentoring does not breach your employment contract, confidentiality obligations or any other duty you owe to a third party.
• You are solely responsible for your own tax, invoicing and legal obligations arising from any fees you charge.
• We may remove a mentor profile at any time — for example if information proves inaccurate, if we receive credible complaints, or if these Terms are breached.

7. Payments and refunds

EnginPath's informational content is free. Paid 1:1 mentoring sessions are transacted on third-party booking platforms. EnginPath does not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details. Prices, taxes, cancellation windows and refunds for a session are governed by the mentor's terms and the booking platform's policies. If a session does not go ahead as arranged, please contact the mentor and the booking platform first; you can also write to us at contact@enginpath.com and we will try to help resolve it.

8. Acceptable use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• copy, scrape, mirror, or systematically extract our content for republication or to build a competing product;
• use automated tools (bots, crawlers, scrapers) in a way that burdens or disrupts the Platform;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, admin areas or another person's data;
• upload or transmit malware, or interfere with the security or operation of the Platform;
• submit false, misleading or impersonating information;
• post or send unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene or discriminatory content;
• use the Platform for spam, unsolicited marketing or any unlawful purpose;
• misrepresent your association with EnginPath, or use our name or logo without permission.

9. Intellectual property

The Platform and its content — including the EnginPath name and logo, site design, written content, roadmaps, project guides, diagrams, resume templates and compilations of data — are owned by EnginPath or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

You may use our content for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may share links to our pages freely. You may not reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell or create derivative works from substantial parts of our content without our prior written permission.

Third-party names, trademarks and logos (including company names shown in hiring lists and tool or course names) remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes only.

If you believe content on EnginPath infringes your rights, please contact us at contact@enginpath.com and we will investigate promptly.

10. Third-party links and services

The Platform links to external websites — including company careers pages, learning resources, booking platforms and social media. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, products, services or privacy practices. Links do not imply endorsement. Your use of any third-party site or service is at your own risk and subject to that party's terms.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

While we work hard to keep our information accurate and up to date, careers, salaries, tools, standards and hiring practices change constantly. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current or error-free, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure or free of defects.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnginPath and its founder, team and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, savings, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of — or inability to use — the Platform, including any reliance on our content, any mentoring session, or any third-party service.

To the extent that liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to EnginPath in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 1,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EnginPath and its founder, team and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, your infringement of any third-party rights, or content you submit to us.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Platform — and remove any content or mentor profile — at any time and without notice if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, or to protect the Platform, our users or third parties. We may also modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 9, 11, 12, 13 and 15) will continue to apply.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence, the courts of India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform.

Before starting any formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us at contact@enginpath.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally and quickly.

16. Changes to these Terms, and how to contact us

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Platform develops. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be highlighted on the site. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
